Helmet Use Policy

I understand that all adult and child participants of Parent and Tot, Pre-CanSkate, and CanSkate programs who have not achieved a CanSkate Stage 5 certification must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet while on the ice.  Multi-sport or bike helmets will not be allowed. 

I understand that this policy will be enforced during all skating activities, including competitions, carnival days or any other special on-ice activities throughout the season for this level of skater. 

I understand that parents, friends, siblings, or any other guests of skaters who are skating at club special events or fun skates must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet, unless they have achieved CanSkate Stage 5 and are a current Skate Canada member.  Anyone who refuses to comply with this policy will not be allowed on the ice or will be asked to leave the ice surface promptly.
