Learn to Skate!
We offer three programs for the beginner skater: Parent and Tot, Pre-CanSkate, and CanSkate. Our programs are delivered by a professional, Skate Canada-accredited coach, together with our assistant coaches and program assistants (intermediate-level and above club skaters). After-school skating classes give kids a great opportunity to be active and have fun through our long winters in the valley.
Parent and Tot
Ages: 2 - 5+
Mondays 3:45-4:15pm
Six 30-minute classes

Have awesome fun on the ice with your little one while they learn to skate!
Each child attends class with a parent or guardian (18+ years of age). Lessons are coach-led with a focus on having fun while learning basic skills on the ice. One Parent and Tot coach per 12 skater-pairs maximum.
After the 6-week program, there is an option for your little skater to continue on in our Pre-CanSkate beginner program (a non-parented program) one or two days per week (your choice), with registration fees for that program prorated.
Both participants (parent and tot) must wear a CSA-certified hockey helmet while on the ice.

Pre-CanSkate lessons are delivered by our team of coaches and program assistants. Skaters have fun while learning basic skills on the ice and can progress into the CanSkate program when they reach a designated skill level.
Skaters enrolled in the winter season can participate in our annual ice show, which is a great opportunity to learn about performance and show off their skills to family and friends! Also, they are adorable :)
Each skater must wear a CSA-certified hockey helmet while on the ice.

The CanSkate program teaches fundamental skills designed to prepare skaters for all ice sports requiring skates, as well as recreational skating.
CanSkate classes are delivered by our team of coaches and program assistants. Skaters enrolled in the winter season can participate in our annual ice show, which is a great opportunity to learn about performance and show off their skills to family and friends! Being a part of the big show is exciting and fun for our skaters!
